full windsor is the fedora of tie knots in almost all situations

they're massive knots that don't work with most modern lean suit cuts.

The only people who wear them are
clueless celebrities like european footballers,
the #sprezzatura #menswear fags from 5 years ago with massive peaked lapels on their "bespoke" suits,
and people like you who call everybody else "children" and say shit on the internet like "listen up kids"

the vast majority of suit cuts do not work with such massive knots. The 4-in-hand, bowler, and half windsor are acceptable for professional wear at interviews.

IMO the four-in-hand looks lazy

half-windsor or bust
>>
>>11109031
My mum does it for me

Windsor? Good one looking like a satellite tv sports pundit.

4 in hand only.

I agree it does look lazy b/c of it's asymmetry. Its an easy option for doctors and people who wear a tie everyday but don't give a shit
>>
You tie it to fit in the space your collar makes. Most shirts/cuts call for a four in hand/half windsor.

It might be generally unsuitable, but it's not really a fedora knot. You're thinking of those garish styles, like a Trinity or Eldrege.

I usually do half windsor or nicky knot. Four in hand if I'm going for a more casual look. Esp if I'm wearing a knit tie, they pretty much only look good with four in hand.

I wear a clip on tie

Four in hand or half-windsor depending on mood - full windsor is best done with wider ties and wider suits, or on wider guys.
>>
>>11109031
For skinny/average guys: half-windsor.

For bigger guys: full windsor

Four-in-hand is alright if you're wearing a tie for something casual, like a dinner date.

Also, Eldrege/Trinity are laughable.

Bowties are ok for the same casual situations as the four-in-hand, but you'd better be a confident motherfucker if you're gonna pull it off.
