There are shampoos and conditoners that "thicken" your hair, and they do work but once you stop using it will go back to normal after a few days.

Get your hair layered. If you want to use product then use some specifically for fine hair (I'd recommend Da'Dude Da'Wax Ultra Strong Hold)
When styling your hair apply product and then towel dry your hair, your hair will mat and create volume, then manipulate sparingly with your hands to fine-tune it

It's easy to manage and highly resistant to damage but it's hard to make it look good, especially now that longer styles are in vogue. You can do anything with thicker hair
