Are military outfits /fa/?
I guess individual pieces could fit civilian life very well, the question is which ones.
These blue slav tanker overalls are pretty nice, for instance.
>>11105337
I almost got a gorka like fit with these
It's good material, I might order one mainly for the jacket
I wish milsurp came in slim fits.
I wish the /k/ommando store sold GATs
>>11105377
>These blue slav tanker overalls are pretty nice
got any pics? are they the ones that dude who dresses in a lot of military clothing wears? I'm drawing a blank on his name.
I'm thinking of getting a gorka outfit for airsoft but also for casual wear, can someone help me with what would go well with it?
>>11105537
techwear/streetwear
honestly wouldn't try it with any other style
>>11105337
Would a digital camo jacket be effay?
Would soldiers call me faggot?
Im in canada so if i were to wear a cadpat jacket, am I a dick?
>>11105578
I wouldn't risk it,
trying to explain to a PTSD ex mil shouting about stolen valor that it's fashionable
Not worth the 1% chance of that happening in public in my eyes
>>11105578
>Would soldiers call me faggot?
Yes
>>11105494
Picrel
Love my Gorka 5, got the matching pants for work.
>>11105578
Yeah I wouldn't wear anything current issue
>>11105429
I like that combo
>>11105337
If you are not a regular /out/ or active member of the military you should not wear military style clothing
I have seen too many fags with their camo skinny jeans / cargo pants I couldnt handle seeing another without punching them in the throat
>>11105578
Never wear current issue from your country in country.
>>11105961
as if your pussy ass would make a move instead of taking your passive aggression out on an imageboard
>>11105578
Nononono
Don't do that to yourself
It's the reason gorka is so /fa/-camo=usually shit
>>11105578
Dont wear curently issued camo unless its like 20 years old, this is my rule.
>>11105578
OP here, i wear one of the old olive drab uniforms as a jacket, i see what you mean but it would be better imo to wear something that our army is not using presently (besides i think old canadian uniforms were more effay)
I'm thinking about getting one of these. Just gonna mail the shop and ask if it has pockets on the inside.
wearing a gorka without any gear on makes you look like you're wearing brown pajamas
>>11106913
Over here nobody would bat an eye on it to be quite honest.
yes
I think militias and paramilitaries have something about them that makes them look great, like a mix of modern style and military practicality. Pic related: Azov Battalion
>>11106879
That's nice, what country/era is it from?
Fuck yeah. But only Eastern European military outfits. They know their shit. They gotta got to war in style otherwise there is really no purpose in it for them.
>>11106973
WWII Germany, a Panzer wrap in reed green.
With a nice new set of better buttons I'd figure it'd be quite a nice thing to wear, additionally, the frontal pocket appears practical.
>>11106994
Shid, forgot pic
I like how the replica lacks insignia, some folks might get jumpy otherwise
>>11106994
>>11107016
Them germans were always fancy af, good taste anon.
>>11107024
Thanks, bud. I did some digging around the page but there's nothing quite like it in my opinion - anything in the Kraut subsection smashes "IT'S A NAZI UNIFORM" in your face, and I'm not really into leather stuff.
Those bong jumpers look comfy as well, might consider one for cold days at the office.

I wouldn't know if those are legit military and if so then you might find these at any large surplus store and if not they look like normal hiking boots that you would find at like SAIL or any sports related store.

What do you guys think of this? I posted it in fuccboi General but no one seemed to care. I like some military-inspired jackets and think this one looks cool but feel it would be awkward to wear in public.
>>11107517
honestly it looks like shit almost looks like plastic
>>11107517
I think it looks like it's right in the middle of military and effay and doesn't make you look like you hate immigrants. I would actually like to know where people buy these since the only stuff i have is genuine military and not pseudo-military like most hipsters wear.
>>11107547
>doesn't make you look like you hate immigrants
but I do
>>11107578
lmao alright then you can always add patriotic patches on it maybe add a dixie flag on there who knows then you'd look like you don't like them.
>>11107547
I love immigrants actually. I found it on rakuten, it is apparently from Cold War era Hungary. They have a lot of interesting stuff like pic related

>>11108246
Had one, gave it away. They're super baggy in the sleeves and the hood is comically small.
would getting camo pants tailored to fit like slim straight pants instead of being baggy be /fa/ or nah?
>>11107074
maharishi
>>11109551
It would be a cheap alternative to streetwear camo.
I have these pants I like a lot. Maybe I'm not wearing them right but the thing is they have these velcros everywhere so that they don't look like fucking sails as most of military cargo pants.
I also see gorka tossed around here a lot, is it Russian/Soviet military clothes?
>>11107074
maharishi. Want them?
>>11108246
incredibly effay. Especially if you're hiding from iraqis with obsolete nvg's or if you're sitting on the side of a building in timesquare asking for spare change.
>>11109609
You are wearing them right for sure, and Gorka is the name of one of the modern Russian uniform sets. I wouldn't say soviet because they no longer are but simply Russian yes.
>>11109551
I think so i would totally do the same.
>>11109036
kek nice
>>11108246

>>11109551
>would getting camo pants tailored to fit like slim straight pants instead of being baggy be /fa/ or nah?
I say go for it. Forget paying someone like maharishi $150 for something like this.
I want to get a gorka jacket but I have no idea what the fit's like
are they baggy as hell?
In an Ideal World, they have to look good with Huarache or ZX Flux plus or white hightops. IRL they sit higher on waist than it's mainstream these days and these straps and velcro stuff needs to be arranged properly to make a nice shape, and these pockets should not be stuffed with EDC shit. Better than UCD for sure. Yes I do wear crocs at home :3
>>11107694
really cool
>>11109730
How tight are they round the ankle? could I wear something more low cut like janoskis or something with it?
>>11109760
They are adjustable around the ankle, around the knee and around the waist with velcro (although the waist velcro is a fucking toy) and you can pull this knee cordura patch higher to a middle of the hip and have these wrinkles inbetween. Think relaxed fit jeans, high on waist when all velcros undone, plus the pockets which add to hip volume for better or for worse.
>>11109704
I'm pretty sure they are all baggy but you can maybe find a small version that would be tighter on you, here's a link if you're interested

The brand name is Garsing, the model is bspn (short for operator's pants in Russian I figure). Made in Belarus.

Literally had a vet go off to my friend for wearing something similar as I was on my way to cop my own. Didn't buy it.
>>11111601
did you thank him?
>>11105337
I wear old US standard issue woodland cargo pants i got from a relative and they are very versitile
>>11109609
looks really good, reminds me of my Maharishi patchwork jacket, i'm sure your pants were much cheaper
>>11110104
fa af
>>11111601
what was your friend wearing?
How about something more along the lines of pic related, i.e. more dress-type military uniforms?
>>11111601
story?
>>11111680
definitely nice but i wonder what would look nice with that if you only wear one article, what about naval uniforms?
>>11111688
I think some people could pull that off, but couldn't dressier uniforms be more widely accessible? (Something more along the lines of Jimi Hendrix circa '67)
>>11111699
Early Hendrix style is always good to look at for inspo.
>>11111699
>>11111814
I guess so yeah, i'd like to see some mix of fancy suits with military dress suits.
>>11111837
Antique hussar jacket matched with an ornate vest, shirt, and scarf works pretty well for him. I'm sure looks reminiscent of this could be achieved with relative ease.
>>11111852
>hussar jacket
holy fuck that's great i need to find some antique stuff to mix with modern effay clothes
>>11111867
Sadly you'll probably have to look toward 60's psychedelic artists, as it's not a common look today.
>>11111670
Long or short one? I thought about getting a long one but I'm too much normie for that.
>>11110353
Yeah, that kinda sucks. These shops are for doomsday preppers and hunters and such, run by corresponding guys. They're not thinking of export much. Would be cool if ASMC bought a dozen to test.
Anyway these are more or less a ripoff of Crye G3, and these you can get.

> join military (Navy)
> enjoy myself
> discharge (medical reasons)
> back to civilian life
> civilian clothes make me recoil in disgust
> fucking civvies
> can't wear my uniform anymore
> on a trip to Japan walk into random store
> 'Workman'
> great range of reasonably priced, durable and high quality work wear
> buy enough clothes to last a year - in one colour and style
> my civilian uniform
> go back to Japan every year and come back with replacements
I've been wearing the same clothes ever since. I have three pairs of summer shirts and slacks, and two pairs of winter shirts and slacks (long sleeves and thicker material).
Shirts http://store.workman.co.jp/item/item.html?i=613
Slacks http://store.workman.co.jp/item/item.html?i=663
Winter versions have longer sleeves.
When I need to go smart casual I just throw on a black tie and a black belt. When I go dinner formal I throw on black slacks.
I haven't lost a single shirt or pants to damage or wear either. Blood, oil, dirt and any other stain you can think of comes right out in the wash. They don't require ironing either. Just dry and hang up. Truly the most convenient clothes.
I've recently started wearing these vibrams as well. Not fashionable, but it beats ruining your feet and your body. http://www.amazon.com/Vibram-Trek-Ascent-Hiking-10-5-11/dp/B00KR4U8ZQ
>>11111909
Long one's a good look if it's paired with the right stuff.
>>11109567
That's the thing, I don't like the weird "fake" camo most streetwear brands use, which is why I'm attracted to actual surplus instead, and yeah it would actually be cheaper
>>11109653
just looked up maharishi, reminds me of SLP when they make a "designer" version of a shitty bleached old flannel... so unnecessary. I mean some of it is cool shit that is hard to find but still
>>11109649
Definitely gonna do it now, any recs on a pattern? I'm thinking of either urban, flecktarn, DPM or that old one that looks like rain, the soviet shit. I live in australia so no one would give a fuck about stolen valour or anything
>>11111954
I would personally only get the kind of camos of countries that i feel i represent or support and of these my favourites would probably be the Czechoslovak old camo (gonna post) and one of the Ukrainian ones
>>11111962
>>11111927

>mil cargoes only look good with high pockets or knee straps

Not me.
I'm fit and run my own software company.
should I cop? It's not a proper set of coveralls because they separate at the waist so I was thinking using them as separate pieces
>>11112729
>Flecktarn
That's a rather 08/15 approach.
Why not run with Splinter B?
>>11112912
well it's not available in anything else and i don't really care if flecktarn is a meme here I have literally never seen someone else wear flecktarn IRL in the 19 years of my life.
That is a cool pattern tho, might cop something in it to go with my dark muted colour palette
Where can I find sick camo hats like our friendly neighbourhood murderer Varg
>>11112957

>>11106158
i used to serve and my uncle is a general, so i just wear standard issue stuff with patches and no one gives me shit about it and it really doesnt bother me if i see people wearing uniforms areound town, but if youre a skinny twink youre gonna look stupid as shit parading around in camo.
>>11107062
just a warning, these fit extremley wide in the shoulders, and cant be worn without a t shirt underneath
>>11112977
>cant be worn without a t shirt underneath
That won't be a problem, trust me.
>>11105578
>>11105589
Just join the military so nobody can give you shit.
>>11105578
Although I doubt a cop would ever enforce or even know of the law, CADPAT is illegal for civilian wear, (while modern Flecktarn or equivalents are perfectly legal)
