Is this a decent backpack for a 10+/ hour hike? I'm asking here because I see this rec'd more for fashionable city walking but the material seems sturdy and it's significantly cheaper than a hiking backpack.

I dont even have it and I'm just going to say no.

>Will it hold up for a 10+ hour hike?
Yes of course, no backpack should fall apart in that time
>Will you hate yourself afterwards for taking that?
Yes, that backpack is so clunky, heavy, and small for a hike that long. You will not be able to carry enough water, food, and other necessities for hiking in a bag like thay

If it was a 2 hour hike, of course

Guess I'll just splurge on a hiking backpack then.

It's honestly worth it, especially if you get a mid sized pack(which should be fine for a hike like that) they can easily be worn every day and look great with some fits. Not to mention the quality and practicality of them is much much higher

Got any recs? I see this on Rei for $130.

I have that!!!
It's great, but I usually only use it when traveling or tooling around on my bike. The big suitcase-like zipper it has makes it kind of impractical for hiking, it could work but not ideal and there are probably better options for the price.

Have you looked at REI'S in house brand? In my experience the quality is great for the price, and gives many of the features you want in a pack. Honestly though, I'm not super well versed in this stuff so if you want a lot more (and probably better advice) I'd head over to /out/

Their daypacks don't look too bad. This might be what I'm looking for.

Is this really big enough for most people? It seems so small.

Gonna cop this colorway cause I'm an edgy edge-lord.

Can't go wrong with Duluth.
