The problem is everyone who wears these thinks they are "unique and different" but don't realize it's played out because everyone else is wearing them for the same reason. Get your own style, if you're really looking to separate yourself. Many of them pull these off terribly.

I'm not being mean, but literally just look for "round face shape glasses for men" on Google and you'll get tons of results. Usually go for styles that are the opposite of your shape. Probably frames with curved corners, since your face has no curves and such.

Except when you are 25+,then the order is reversed. I typically find plastic, bulky frames on men past a certain age to be tacky and try-hard. Wire frames and thinner frames compliment a more matured face, maybe not all the time but most.

Thick is correlated with high dioptres.
To pull of clear you need to invest in high index at already moderate dioptres. (-6 > 1.67 high index). Not cheap. Also no ideal.
I tend to find anything above 4 unsuited for clear.

Yeah, you're right that they're rather bland. I have an oval face, but the main problem is my facial hair. I'm clean shaven always but have very thick black eyebrows and hair, as well as long, black eye lashes. (basically look like an Arab with white skin).
I find that the usual stuff with rather big bezels looks bad, because it just adds more black to my face, if you know what I mean. Won't post pic though, because I'm paranoid about my stuff in the Internet.
