This is all true. The story is he left his village in 96 to find work, and was sending money to his wife and kids back home. Someone robbed him of all his money, and he kept getting fired from jobs, and ended up on the streets. His family stopped hearing from him around '03. In 08 someone struck a friendship with him and began taking care of him by checking in every so often. After he became a meme in China his family found him in 2010. He went back home with them. When he went back home he found out his wife and dad died in a car accident the year before. He is still safe at home.
