Summer Inspo thread, now that the weather is starting to turn around. What are some essentials? Menswear, please. Since I've picked up trying to dress /fa/ most of my clothing is geared towards winter so I'm fairly lost. An insight appreciated.

Espadrilles, sandals, canvas shoes (jack purcells, shoes like pottery, etc.)
I tend to avoid high tops with shorts, and usually wear them with no show socks. Also, if you are going sockless, make sure to rotate them.

Dunno because I live in Barcelona and you can cop handmade ones for dirt cheap everywhere.
I guess make sure they are made with natural fibers (esparto/canna rope for the sole and cotton/canvas for the upper). Also this is a stylistic preference but I think the traditional ones with the wee white thread thing on the tip (see pic) look best.

I buy mine on my neighbourghood, in a little shop near sagrada familia called "espardenyes". But I'd recommend "La manual alpargatera", they were the first shop here to make espadrilles as a fashion item and have been making them by hand for over 60 years. As a plus, it's also in the gothic district, which is a very cool place to just wander around (the shop is just 5 mins from the old cathedral and the basilica for instance).
That said, a lot of normal shoe stores carry them. You shouldn't have a problem finding them here.
