Just got my Coto&Ciel Nile Obsidian Backpack delivered today. Spent $334 after taxes/shipping.
It's a little stiff at the moment but worth every penny.
What other backpacks are available at this price range?
Does that backpack have a hood?

It does.
I pulled it out just to see how it works. It's super thin and as loud as a bag of Sunchips, but it's practical. I could definitely imagine using it if it rains spontaneously and I dont have an umbrella.

i need a messenger bag. i use it pretty much everyday to commute to campus. don't need space for a laptop. just enough to allow for books, a change of clothes, and some toiletries.
i have a black patagonia messenger that is ripping at the shoulder, so i need to replace it asap before it rips as i'm riding.
any recs?
mission porter makes quality stuff, i'm sure, but not so keen on their aesthetic.

I know that Chrome bags are usually only thought of negatively, but they hold up pretty well. I used one for 5 years and it only had minor wear on it. Nothing broke. I used to for school, commuting on bike, hiking and eventually as a gym bag.

they're really unnecessary for most people and they can fuck up your back easily if you don't know how to size and adjust them properly.
