Is it hard to pull blazers off ?
I would like to get something like pic related, but more casual and without looking like a tryhard ?

casual blazers are hard to pull cuz youll either look like a try hard or an unimportant snazzy professor
>>10996389
If I'm short, that won't help, right ? Should I settle for a cardigan instead ?
>>10996373

It depends on the cut, colour, and fit of the blazer. Some people can wear them and end up looking quite dapper whilst others end up looking like try-hard neckbeards.
If you're reasonably attractive then you'll probably end up looking good in a blazer. Just remember to wear black or midnight blue for dinner or drinks, and wear lighter shades during the day.

I look normal I guess, but I'm a manlet, that could be the main problem.
Should I go for very low-end jackets for a beginning ?
>>10996430
Generally, the more you pay = the better the quality of the garment. However, I've had some ASOS suit jackets fit significantly better than a few jackets I've bought from Roger David.
If you really want a blazer just buy something for under $150 from an online store like ASOS or Topshop for the sole purpose of finding a brand that fits you relatively well.

go for cardigan if you looking for a knitted look
otherwise try getting workers jackets 3-4+ buttons
>tfw will never be able to pull off this trickster blazer
>>10996525
>tfw will never even OWN a Tricky blazer
>>10996528
I could if I REALLY wanted to but fuck dropping £1k on a dust collector
>>10996512
I thought about going to stores in town so I can try the blazer directly. If I ever get one (stil need to think) I might start with a cheap one
>>10996528
this one is weird
>>10996373
Blazers are the shit. I don't know where you live but I see so many good blazer fits on the street here it's ridiculous
>>10997563
where do you live
>>10996553
Most people will recommend a navy blazer but I think it's a little too preppy. I'd stick with a grey.
>>10996373
Fuck no. A well-fitted blazer is super useful, even if you do go for casualwear (though it's admittedly harder in that case).
>>10996512
I usually shit on people for recommending cheap blazers from ASOS/etc., but this isn't a bad idea if the OP is uncertain about wearing a blazer. The quality is kinda awful, but it'd be a good start for experimentation.
>>10996553
Good plan.
>>10997653
Agreed. A sort of medium gray with texture is easy to work with, navy trends preppy (which I like, but OP may not.)
>>10997685
medium grey is probably the worst color a white dude can choose lol. makes them very murky looking
and a beat up cheap blazer with a tee is an awesome casual look
do you know anything or just regurgitate MFA memes?
you've been here years and never improve, it's so fucking pathetic dude
>>10997685
Yeah, grey's a decent neutral colour to start with. Not as bold as black and easier to wear than white. Herringbone or tweed and cut slim. Extremely versatile.

>medium grey is probably the worst color a white dude can choose lol. makes them very murky looking
I can see that, but it depends on the grey. The texture is also pretty important.
>>10997730
Agreed.
>>10997730
Grey's better when it's not just plain grey, and instead is mottled or actually resolves from a black and white pattern.
guys i have a black slim fit blazer, what color of t-shirt can i use, white? grey? and i will wear black skinny jeans
>>10998736
black blazer and black jeans don't work together, sorry
if you're dead set on the look then white or grey is fine but I'd go with white/blue stripe to add colour and interest
