Opinels are cool, and cheap.
But i prefer Laguiole
Opinels are nice. I have a no. 8 Carbon. It fits nicely in the hand, and it's lightweight. Only complaint is that it always seems to end up horizontally in my pocket because it doesn't have a clip.
I've been looking at a Mercator k55k. Not sure how it holds up though

All the opinel knives I've used have been pretty shitty knife quality wise, but if you like the aesthetic go for it
otherwise just go for something black and minimal and you'll probably do fine, I got an engraved Swiss as a gift and it's come in handy time and time again
