So I own a Ted Baker black jacket. The (matching) trousers are history for a stupid reason.
My question: is it fine to wear the suit jacket (with jeans for example) as if it was a navy jacket? What else I can combine it with?
Also general suit jacket tread.

>is it fine to wear the suit jacket (with jeans for example) as if it was a navy jacket?
No. This always looks clownish. Unless maybe you're attending prom at some backwater high school or whatever, then it might 'work'.
If you want to wear a blazer with jeans, buy a blazer that matches the formality level ie. a blazer with (for example): natural shoulders, patch pockets, a less formal material (flannels, tweeds, cashmere, cotton, textured wools) and maybe some pattern.
>What else I can combine it with?
Nothing. My recommendation would be to just bin it.

black jackets are too formal to combine with jeans.
just buy another pair of trousers

I might just get another pair of trousers online...

It'll just look like you accidentally lost your pants and desperately had to get something else - which would be true in this case.
So no.
Just drop it.

Get another jacket instead.
