the brylcreem first for more control of my hair, then i use the crew grooming to give my hair the shape it needs to stay in all day, plus i like the shine it gives, and lastly i use the forming cream to add details (i.e bangs, ruffled look etc)

In my opinion it's gotten to the point where you can't really pull off anything meaningful because of the hairline, so the only options would be finasteride or buzz. Even with Fin you'd just be prolonging the inevitable.
I think you might pull off the buzz though, just need to bulk up a bit and change your expression since you look insecure.
