Nike keeps making sports clothes. In Europe and other places Adidas makes sporty clothes that are still streetwear. In Europe adidas IS streetwear. All Nike does is release and re-release sporting goods nowadays.
adidas has a clear cut division between SPORTS and FASHION. Streetwear is moving away from sports and towards a more neutral look with street/city vibes.
The tubulars, Yeezys, Y-3's, NMD's, Stans among others are what made adidas popular again. Meanwhile Nike just keps re-releasing old Jordans and Roshes.
