Question for all you long hair veterans; What do you do to your hair to make sure it looks clean but still keeps a decent volume to it? I heard sea salt is pretty decent.
Should I just buzz my hair and grow it out if I want it to look like pic related. I haven't had long hair in a long time and my current hair looks awkward because it looks like it's growing straight up. Also if any of you have a link to where I could buy the shirt that would be awesome.

I've been growing my hair from a buzz because it was a hy beforehand.
It's good to get a clean start but this shit takes a while. I got the buzzcut in October and now its only three inches max.

Personally, I wouldn't start from a buzz, that's how you end up with a mullet. I started with the typical long top, short sides. Mines not very long yet, but it's long enough on top and sides that I can push it back. It looks better imo, but I'm really dreading the next awkward stage. Idk if I can do it.
