As a Nexus 5X owner, Android is generally laggy as fuck.
Just get a good Samsung ( it doesn't matter if it's ugly as fuck) then just search for a classy/funky case.

My nexus 6p does everything pretty much instantly, no different than an iPhone. Counting fps on phone video games is fedora tier. The iPhone 6 I used got a lot hotter than my 6p. My old iphones (1,3g,4, 5c) all got much slower after updates. My old Galaxy s4 was marginally faster after getting the lollipop update and is still perfectly usable today.

If you're going for /aesthetic/, iPhone 4/4s/5c (most beautiful phones ever made) or the Nokia Lumia series. Not their Android phones, the Windows Phones. Most aesthetically pleasing OS, paired up with beautiful acid-bright colors. Plus they're built like bricks, don't even need cases.

according to benchmarks a samshit s6 is faster than a nexus 6p but everyone comparing these will quickly realize that the nexus is much faster in almost everything and feels a lot more smooth and fluid.
