I am Canadian. The alleged Canadian average height is 5 foot 8.5 [174cm].
I am a pathetic manlet at 5"8 - but I only know 1 male who is shorter than me. Out of all the people in my college [it is a very small private college tho], friends, etc I am pretty much always the shortest. Yeah I will see shorter people sometimes but if I take me and 9 other random guys there's a very good chance I'm going to be the shortest or very near the bottom, not dead centre.
The Canadian average is very low compared to other countries [usa is 5'10 [177 cm], many european countries are much higher still]. Just a country full of manlets, or the average is calculated differently, or we just have a lot of asian immigrants and very few black people to balance it out like the usa? idk.
But the stats must include like children or something because the average height of people is much much higher than 5'8. which is why people ignore that stat.
