When wearing underwear are you supposed to have your dick pointing down or are you supposed to tuck it up to point to your belly button.

my dad used to always tell me to put my dick up, I never listened to him and nowe I have pyrone disease :(

would that have been caused by the way my dick sits in my underwear or is that just an old-dads tale?
