Bright red isn't bad just hard to work into a fit. Earthy tones or simple black/white are much easier to incorporate into one. If u want colour go pale/dark but generally never bright; e.g. pic related over those bright red ones you linked

I understand why you'd assume that the quality would be better because now the label is huge and probably has big factories producing their shit, but it could work in the other direction as well.
Some designers start out working with whatever materials and techniques they can get their hands on and when they finally get recognized and have more resources they can step up their game from a quality standpoint.
