His hair is pretty damn oily, so either nopoo "use a lot less shampoo" or put something like coconut oil in ur hair and then wash w/ shampoo and conditioner like an hour later. I use coconut oil for my hair (a bit longer than that pic) but if I don't clean it afterwards it gets super oily and curly and nasty.
