What is the best pomade for a slick back with volume? I have thick hair and short sides but my hair won't stay back. The gel I'm using right now is shit meme from Walgreen's. My hair just parts and ends up looking massively retarded. How do I get a good slick back style with volume like pic related?

I'm worried volume has more to do with how thick your hair is than whatever you put in it. Nothing seems to work for me.
