I read up some interet advice stating that you could give any t-shirt a vintage-y feel by soaking it in salt water for a couple days, is it any true?

I only put my backpacks in salty sea water.
Yeah, it works. if you want a more washed look you shoud rub the fabric against each other on the collar etc.
