How to make normal hoodies look effay? Pull-overs make layering all but impossible. Thinking of picking up a white or black one from Wal-Mart or something and then making alterations/embroidery. Will probably end up looking zef as hell though.

switch out the hoodie strings with something else. change the material, or the length, or maybe the color. get metal shoelace aglets and put them on the ends.

my hoodies fit slim/snug so i can layer a loose-fitting sweatshirt/sweater/shirt over it. i'm skinny though so i'm not sure how well that works with someone of average weight

Post example pic. It may be because of the cut of the clothes you're attempting to layer or the build of your body. I have wide shoulders/ribcage and it fucks up layering exactly like you're describing unless the cuts of the clothes are perfect.
