you dont have much of a defined style but worn with confidence this could work 6/10
>>10884478
yeah, just expand your wardrobe and find a style to stick with. if going for expensive pieces find high quality that will last you a long time. 5/10 for the moment
>>10884506
thanks, only recently started getting into fashion late last year, for now I'm trying to start mid range since not in the position to buy expensive pieces (student). Any recs for all around essentials/basics?
>>10884518
i generally wear Norse Projects, Burton and Patagonia stuff. NP may be a little expensive for basics but they make excellent stuff that truly last for years, watch for sales. Burton and Patagonia are definitely mid tier prices but use high durability materials for adventure-y stuff. Besides what i wear myself, id look for established brands above fast fashion stores.
Posted this in the old thread, apparently. Gonna try my luck here.

Burton Snowboarding to be exact? Since there's another burton in the UK. I'll hopefully try invest in them. Currently need a new jacket but on a budget, wish I could splash on those big brands.
Also sorry for the spoonfeeding but what mid range brands would you recommend. I only know mid range shoe/bag brands but in terms of clothes I'm unsure besides H&M and Zara having poop quality from what I hear and seen.
>>10884554
yeah burton snowboarding. And no worries about spoonfeeding, seems like most /fa/gs are assholes about it.
For jackets/coats milsurp isnt a bad way to go, good quality stuff for a fair price. Brands though, id go on a site like endclothing.com or mrporter.com and sort by price. Everything on their is fairly trustworthy.
>>10884558
Not sure of many milsurp places in the UK but I'll look around also yeah Mrporter and END are good, I'll keep searching. Thanks man, appreciate it.

>Dewalt nylon tool belt
So you're not in a trade job, definitely nowhere near a construction site (no steel toes). You're either a cable guy or on-field engineer.
Which is it? I'm tempted to assume the former because even demo workers get Diamond Back or Occidental Leathers.
>>10886701
He's a luthier
>>10886715
Neat.
>>10886701

Yeah he was, its become a family business at this point. Generally getting into the field depends on where you want to end up.
To work as your own business you'll go to a trade school, work apprenticeships and eventually come out on your own. Big brands like Gibson and Fender have plants in the US that dont require trade school, though these are complete factory jobs. If you have any other questions shoot, im not doing anything
