They have good traction control and if you sprint they are a god-send sneaker.

I run cross country and track in college and I have done races, workouts and a triathlon in flyknit racers. As racing shoes, they are not very good. Because the back is flimsy, after a bit the flywire loosens and your foot starts to slip. Better nike racing shoes are the Streak 5 or Lunaracer 3. As casual shoes however, they are really cool. Pretty comfy for just walking around.
