Who does a great derby shoe 250-1500?
I've always wanted to know what these were. they seem so much flatter/thinner and better looking than most shoes, is the guy wearing a size too big or osmething?

Allen Edmonds or something like that. I have no fucking clue why you'd drop more money than about $300-400 on a pair of dress shoes - you wear them on your feet and no amount of money is gonna make wear less of an inevitability.

The leather is certainly better, but as with any other material, there are diminishing returns. In many circumstances, it's better to buy two pairs of $300 dress shoes and wear them half as much rather than to buy one pair of $600 and wear them for double the time.
