Copenhagener here. 22 y.o. It's not for you if you're a fuccboi. The best people in the city is either slightly alternative or has alot of soul to them. Copenhageners don't hate foreign people; there's a prejudice that foreign people usually are superficial. Also be aware that many young people here doesn't give a shit about conservative values and are socialists especially when it comes to ethics vs economy type of conversations.

German cities are at their peak, only downhill from now on.
Italian cities vary, Milanese air will kill you dead faster than a asthmatic in Beijing and italians don't live in venice anymore for many very good reasons. Genoa could well be worth it if it were not for the Genoese (i kid i kid, but not really), and forget about anything below Florence, including Florence.
France is France
Geneva will always be of interest but rarely of relevance
Barcelona could very well be the best place, but remember to learn catalan just in case.
Amsterdam is nice for a few months, not for much longer than that.

The Scandinavian gems are hit and miss, mostly miss unless your winter wardrobe is the apple of your eye.

Visit before you pick always, and do so with the climate in mind. Watch how they dress and how they act, some styles cross the atlantic will clash wildly with those unaccustomed to the cultures.

italian students are no better. locals here hate you mostly because you flood our city, spend money on shitty tourist traps that only american and japanese get fooled by so now every restaurant or shop sells shitty overpriced products and the locals have to go out of town not to spend 50 euro on a steak or 12 euro for a pint of beer.

Eastern countries are more open to recieve foreign students without problem, and from all of those, I would recomend Budapest
I'm from Spain and here: Barcelona is the best imo, but you will need to learn catalan (if you speak spanish, it's easy). Madrid is also /fa/. Granada and Salamanca are also nice but more for fuckbois
