beautiful
classical architecture dealt with tradition and the application of refined, matured architectural designs.
modern architecture is based soley on gimmicks with nothing else being distinguishing.
OP's picture for example: Dude, like a bunch of lincoln logs but like all messed up.
Novelty value.

How do you feel about this?

Form follows function. Tradition over trend with mindful changes.
People are too impatient for things to develop which is why we have shit like OP's pic which looks a finished game of jenga.

Have you bothered to do any research at all into the building? Statoil HQ is an excellent design with high functionality.
The stacked sections reduce environment footprint, leaving space for a large park.
The orientation of the modules promotes the best natural light opportunities for each section as well as different window views. The space in between the modules is a central entrance and atrium.
The building's rooted construction is a nod to the oil industry's building methods.

Not everything has to be some golden ratio over-designed basilica bs.

Form follows function is a phrase used to describe modernist architecture. You can't talk about something like St. Peters in that regard because it's all silly gilded molding and shit.

Love this.
Buildings like this are built to ensure everyone instinctively understands their place in the nwo
