What're some places to get decent leather boots as a poorfag? I get that it goes against /fa/'s ethos, but if I can't spend above $150 for some boots, where's the best place to get some that actually look decent?

Just wait and save your money. All you can afford right now are work boots. You can get an entry level fairly decent boot for 300-400 and nice pair of boots for about 700-1000.
Puerhomme, dude9, luire and all those korean rep ones
good quality but not cheap
You should listen to >>10771631. If you're still insistent on cheaping out, there are some Indonesian boot makers that might fit your needs. Chevalier and Sagara Indonesia will do leather boots for comparatively super cheap prices, but keep in mind that they definitely won't be carminas.
I like my meermins, but for brands like these, keep in mind that the apparently low listed price will only be jacked up due to shipping and duty fees.

I doubt I'll be in a position to spend >$700 on shoes at any point in my life. Or at least for the foreseeable future. So, as far as cheap work boots go, what's the best bang for your buck in terms of style?

get some Chippewa Apaches.
I've had the same pair for about 5 years and they are the best most comfortable boot I've ever owned.
Used them for construction and farm work and are just now starting to crack up and break down from being exposed to mud and moisture but If I use some polish on them they look great, like your pic related op.
I've replaced the soles twice, and the soles that come with the boot aren't the best, but all around great boot.
When they do eventually wear out I will definitely be getting a second pair.
