Are Adidas Sambas /fa/?
IMO they're a good cheap alternative to GATs.
Real GATs are shit, at least the Sambas last longer. The white ones make a good beater shoe.
/fa/ concensus on samabas:
classic, very comfortable shoe that can be nice when worn with casual clothes. and the white one's are cooler.

This really. I got my sambas on a nostalgic whim and forgot about the tongue. I saw they had the alternative but yeah.. not the same. I love my sambas, and often get compliments on them. The white ones are definitely cooler, but I'm a scrub who wears all black so.. yeah.

they need to reissue the sambas like they did with stans and get em done in better leather etc
I didn't like my Sambas. Had the long-tongue version and they needed insoles to not kill my feet, then after less than a year of light wear the lining fell apart. Shoes still look like new on the outside.
got vintage short tongue ones for 25 euros in berlin. shame I could only find the black ones, but the flat silhouette is still cool.

I personally like that version a little more because of the blue print and the heel logo
I've had a pair of sambas that I've worn as all-purpose shoes for ~4 years now and they are still intact albeit a bit scuffed.
