I remember you posting this 1-2 years ago.

Have you done anything with the system since?

How is the staging with the speakers placed like that? Even with my B&Ws I have to have them placed apart to get a better sound stage.

I haven't done a lot with it since. The components are good enough to not be worth upgrading, and room is too small to move the speakers. Ideally they'd be 15'+ apart and equally far away from the listener in an extremely large and sonically dead room.

I bought them when I was thinking I'd immediately be moving into a big place but that never happened. I've been strongly considering downgrading the speakers. I could sell them for $2500 and buy something for $1K that'd sound better at this distance.

These you fucking 70s HI-FI loving faggots

I guess if you're looking for a line-array it might be a bit harder, but yes with a $1k budget you can get some very nice speakers if you have a normal listening room.

I'd be going for something like this. Anything gimmicky like my speakers becomes hard to place.

I love the look of older JBL's.

You guys heard of kenrick sound?
The're a Japanese company that refurbishes older JBL speakers and they've got their own youtube, they're criminallygood/10.
