This is true, but black people having different aethetics doesn't mean that their aesthetics can't work in the fashion industry. Aesthetics also differ from designer to designer and sometimes from fashion house to fashion house, yet you see individual models getting casted for different collections that don't have any resemblence.
It's just that black aesthetics aren't appreciated by most people. Fashion is a subjective matter and people are trying to hide institutionalized ways of thinking by objectivying their opinions about aesthetics.
