Ushankas were effay in the 80's. this is the 2010's get historically accurate or get out.
I have a DDR marine ushanka from the 80's (I think, it was stuffed with paper from '86).
I wear it (without the emblem) during the snowiest and coldest few weeks of the year (Sweden). Very nice to have a thick and somewhat comfortable hat for the cold winter.
