gross generalisations really but it's about the size of it. I really must take exception though with the whole "can't handle the economy" stuff that's always banded about regarding left wing politics and politicians. It's simply not true. It's a toxic narrative generated by the right to make the well off and the rightly aspirational working poor more selfish, and therefore by into the right's scheme of systematic growing inequality. In the UK where I'm from we have the same thing, and over here at least it's actually the case that Conservative governments historically leave the economy in a worse state, George osborne just did a good job of manipulating everyone into believing an economic crash that started on Wall street was somehow ENTIRELY Labour's fault.
Just because you're rich does not mean you know how best or rather FAIREST to manage money on a national scale.
