It looks a lot better. try it out! Something like pic related. You might need to experiment with product and styling a bit to get it that way... Slicked back neatly isn't complemting you, but i can see it work in a more messy variant

Man bun doesn't seem like a bad idea either now that you have long hair. But it's your decision. I always thought the hardest part of getting long hair was the phase you already went through so I don't really know why would you post now and not 4-5 months ago.
