I have an Automatic self-winding watch with the logo of the manufacture on the Crown.
I have noticed that the crown VERY slowly rotates over several minutes of wearing or tilting the watch. If I swirl the watch in my hand for a couple of minutes to wind it, the Crown rotates about 3 or 5 mm in a clockwise direction.
Can anyone tell me why this happens?

Possibly a faulty connection to the mainspring? My manual self-windings don't do this and I haven't heard anything about this from my friends with automatic movements

Why the hell does it matter? You're clearly too much of an uneducated plebeian to figure it out yourself.
Normally, there is a decoupling mechanism that disconnects the automatic winding module from the handwinding function while the latter is in use. Usually, it's two-way, i.e. vice versa. This appears not to be the case with your watch. It may have been deemed unnecessary from an engineering standpoint.

OP Here... the service dept contacted the manufacturer in Switzerland today and told me it's completely normal. Thanks for the replies. I've simply never seen this before.

I'd just never seen it happen on other watches. Mind you, the crown on most watches isn't usually embossed with a logo so you probably don't notice.
Some movements unwind while simultaneously moving the crown backwards, I guess the same could be true for winding using the rotor. Diving watches with screw on crowns had to account for this so that the stem disengages the crown when it is screwed shut, otherwise it would lock up.

It's quite small actually for the number of complications and an automatic movement. The case size is 42mm - which is considered normal for a dress watch. Case thickness is 13.85mm.
Interesting comment about the screw-in crowns needing to disengage the stem. That makes perfect sense now.

No. This is not normal. The watch is broken. Get it fixed. A Valjoux 7750 doesn't do what you're talking about if it is working properly.

They told me that this is normal. [Here's an excerpt from the email]. The watch has a 3 year warranty so if there's an issue, I'll speak to them about it then.

What went wrong? This big watches meme was a mistake.
Buy anyways I've heard of early bumper automatic movements where the crown and automatic winding don't disengage from each other, but I never would've thought that modern automatics would still not have a clutch to disengage the crown from the winding mechanism. I'm not very familiar with Raymond Weil but it seems like that watch has a modified copy of a Sellita ripoff of a Valjoux 7750, so who knows.

My vintage watch has Arabic numerals, but it's 25mm wide by 10mm thick (including the domed glass) and 16mm watch band. Super comfy on the wrist and slips easily under my shirt cuffs. After wearing this one around, I can't go back to large watches.
