Seconding this statement, it's definitely the best option as far as quality to price goes. If you're not afraid of going a further in price, norse projects has provided me with a few great basic tees over the years. Another suggestion, though the retail price is kinda annoying is Acne's wool tees.
Oh and Kotn is great too but I think they're only in black/white.

Do you understand materials (I.e. blends), shrinking, and fit? If so you should be fine. 100% cotton shirts shrink one size in a wash. Poly-cotton blends of 50-50 or 60-40 don't. Also honestly just go to a thrift store and try on a range of sizes since some of the shirts have probably shrunk to oblivion.

ive been to HM 10 mins ago copped 2 basic t-shirt,the grey one and the yellow-white one,wanted the salmon one but did not have the size for me ;_;
The AS Colour classic tee is good, OP.
Bought a 7-pack of different colours from ASOS for 35 eur on black friday sale. Feels super comfy, can't say for sure how long they last but I've never really had problems with t-shirts getting prematurely rekt.
