Seiko SKX007/009
Literally the best watch in this price range.
Not even debatable among anyone who knows what they're talking about.

More like OP's where the only numbers are the hours (and not in roman numerals)?
I like the clean and practical combination there. A black face would be good too.

Any other decent Seikos around that price?
I'm not a fan of the diver look at all.
anyone have any experience with komono? thinking of getting pic related as a daily/semi casual watch.

1000 times no. Bad quality. Shitty, inaccurate movement. Battery will die after 3 months. Pretty chunky looking (though aesthetically, it is admittedly decent).
You could literally get a Casio with 5x the function for 1/5th of the price. Look elsewhere.

shame, I really liked the look of them. thanks for the warning!

No problem! I did too... But I guess someone had to fall for the meme.
Are all Timex watches really loud? I've owned two now (extremely cheap ones to be fair) and they were both loud.

For dress watches I'd go Orient
I personally like the Sun and Moon but I hear great things about the Bambino

This
My friend has one, looks really good and it's better quality than those shitty DW watches
