I got the beige on amazon for like 150$. Great sound quality but because they're opened back headphones, everybody in the room will hear what you're listening to. I think it's worth it but it might anoy other people around you.

Own both the HD598 and HD598SE. In terms of form I prefer the HD598SE. It's just versatile.

That being said it depends on your rooms color scheme. If you have far colors black would look cool, if you have tan/brown/white, go for the beige.

They have superior hardware, yes; but they sound less fun than the Hd 598.
