/fa/ characters. Shows can be absolute shit, this is for general costume discussion and posts. Personal favorite is Hannibal.
>>
Is it because he's wearing a suit?
>>
Pulls off a modern interpretation of a classical gangster or high class criminal very well.

I actually enjoy the show too.

I liked Will's clothes more

I like Hannibal the show in general. Even though the show did pull some stupid bullshit the overall art and fashion direction is mesmerizing.

I agree, I love the red velvet jacket in the latest episode. Although the pants are a bit much, and the Doc's look shit.

Op is waifu, i base most of my outfits off of hannibal, im not into the ironic degenerate cores, i pretty much exclusively wear suits. Try some versace, bespoke, garavani, or gaultier.

Who Boardwalk here? I loved how all the suit silhouettes changed for the 30's-set final season. By the great depression the slim-fitting tapered line suits had all gone out of fashion and it was all about portraying solidarity and health with the boxy cuts and padded shoulders...John Dunn and the rest of the costume dept. really outdid themselves with the historical research

I'm not exclusively into suits myself, but that's probably because I'm not rich or a man. Hannibal's suits were the first time I had seen formal wear with character desu

Hannibal
DCI john Luther, dat tweed coat
BBC sherlock, sherlock being the better sartorial element
Elementary, Watson is the snappy dresser this time
White collar: Neal assumes a fedora core/modern dandy look done right. His style shifts to John Varvatos/rugged classy in his informal outfits. I watched everything I thought was cringe about fedora core being done to perfection. It's a rewarding /fa/ watch because a lot of the outfits are a contrast between Peter's dadcore/boring accountant style and Neal's Beau-ish influences.
Suits: fairly immature and in your face in terms of both fashion style and cinematographic style. We get it TOM FORD makes POWER SUITS for SUCCESSFUL people, SOCIAL CLIMBERS like mike wear SLIM BURBERRY SUITS and the top dogs think they are SHIT. The female fashion is more interesting. The set design feels materialistic and straight out of a high end store catalogue. Soulless wealth core.

>Craig:
Bond: billy Reid, tom ford,Npeal, Sunspel, Spectre (possibly inspired by archer) is responsible for saving the turtleneck from the Steve jobs limbo. It's everywhere this season.
Millenium: Comfy core. Knitwear a gogo. I started seeing cardigans and shawl collars everywhere that season too.
Layer cake: Essentially a "Bond off duty"-core type of film. The outfits are incredibly similar in style to what Craig wears in his informal outfits in casino Royale and QoS.

The Thomas crown affair: original and the remake. I fucking love Brosnan's style. This film (late 90s/early 00s) is the ultimate example of great style being timeless as opposed to ephemeral fashion. Every single outfit of his might as well be in a 15FW Brioni or Belvest defile or an article from 2013 GQ because his suiting style feels so modern and sleek you just know it's not all seasonal bullshit in the end. The fact that fast fashion at the time was at its baggy zenith makes it an interesting film to watch if you constantly worry about style vs fashion.

Its probably because its impossible for 99.9% of the worlds population to not look like a fedora tipping tool wearing an outfit like this.

>Mad men
Suits. Loads of them. In so many styles (young wasp, carry grant style greys, old school 50s power-suits, light hearted 3 pieces, loads of different ideas and colors, each character has his style

The knick.
House of cards. Power suits done right. Her outfits are especially good.
Always sunny in philadelphia: degenerate core. Its interesting to watch how they modify some character's base style to fit an episode.
Millenium, the swedish miniseries. Salander's outfits are more punk/rough/street than the american one (more experimental and refined).
The talented mr ripley. Must watch. As a rule of thumb very stylish men characters wear suits. It's just easier to create a dashing guy in a suit. What is truly hard is to create an equally insipring character in informal, everyday, "realistic" clothes. This is the /fa/ strong point of this film. Sprezz as fuck.
