Can we get a thread going where we post boots for seriously harsh winters? From upstate NY, go to school in Boston which had record snows last year and for the most part didn't have a good pair of boots last year. This was a mistake and I was hoping some of you had recs based on some serious winters which you got through with a fashionable pair. First off, I really love these Nike SFB's but cannot imagine they are waterproof enough. Thoughts?

Literally just SFB ripoffs that cost more than the real thing. The real leather SFB's are only $85 on the Nike website right now.
Anyone have any experience with waterproofing SFB's? I want to just take some waterproofing spray or beeswax to my leather sfb's but I'm afraid it'll fuck it up somehow.
