Yeah, honestly i think it's a very hard type of jacket to pull off, especially for younger ppl. It is possible tho, and if done right they do look great tho.

I think they look fine as long as they suit your general style and you get one that fits well. I see way too many people with topcoats or peacoats that are too big for them. If you want to get one I suggest buying one at a menswear shop that goes by suit sizing (38, 40, 42...) rather than standard sizing (S, M, L).

Peacoats are pretty versatile & work well dressed up or more casual. Brogues or sneakers, jeans or chinos, shirt or tee. Worth spending a bit more to get good quality that will hold its shape & last.
