Lots of people dislike it for two big reasons:
(1) It's a preppy brand that's affordable, meaning that a LOT of people wear it, especially preppy guys who were probably douches to posters on here, and
(2) (the more genuine reason:) There's a good argument that PRL was the beginning of the cheapening of the Ralph Lauren brand, ultimately culminating in the trash that is "American Living" and similar spin-offs.
