Thoughts on uniqlo? I recently bought a lot of shit there because I thought some of there stuff was nice.
>>
>>10632795

I like some of there stuff, though I wish their proportions were more consistent.

I bought a size small in one of their dry tees and the proportions are way different than any other shirts they have.
>>
>>10632795
their basic tees are good, a nice place to get all your basic clothing to build upon
>>
Nice underwear, jeans and chinos, and socks for the price
>>
They have really comfortable sweatpants and shirts, and I also like their leggings pants. Good for basic stuff, just make sure you try them on to check the size.
>>
Unless you are on a budget I don't see why anyone would rave about this gap tier store. If I wanted to buy a flannel i'd go get me some gitman bros or even some pendleton on amazon, if I wanted casual shirts, Jcrew or even JFC are superior. Though I thnk their oxfords are good for the price, but everything else is underwhelming
>>
topkek meme store
Only good if you're on a budget. I buy my Oxford's there because I live in effay hell and I'm still better dressed than everyone else. Tees are overrated. I actually went to one of there stores in japan and every man and his dog shops there.
>>
>>10632795
jeans are great.
>>
>>10632922
jcrew shirts aren't superior quality in my experience, plus the fit is much worse than uniqlo.

really for cheap brands like uniqlo, if the fit suits your body type than knock yourself out. the styling is pleasant and anonymous enough that you can put together okay fits and make them work with higher ticket pieces.
>>
>>10632966
Best ones?
Should I avoid the ones that aren't 100% cotton?
>>
>>10632922
>>10632929
People at my school keep raving about how much they love uniqlo. Majority of them seem to be asian weebs who also get a ton of fuccboi shit like japanese printed l-sleeve shirts, sweatpants, etc.
>>
I dont like the cut usually
there non basic tees always feet nice but everything feels boxy or baggy in the wrong spots

there flannels I do love since those are normally a bit bigger
the lambswool sweaters can be itchy by they're a staple to my winter wear
>>
>>10632795
Its very good, especially if you lift as the 5% spandex they put into a lot of their jeans/pants is great for fitting.
>>
As a broke boy who only had uniqlo pants they are way too thin and stretch easily so they have a shitty fit since they crumple

I bought this coat from them recently, it was only $20 on sale and has removable inner lining for winter and the outside is waterproof. Thinking about it I also bought a denim jacket from them that's really nice too.

I don't like their pants though.
>>
>>10634031
What's wrong with them, I was thinking of getting some chinos during the sales.
>>
>>10633366

If you're going for slim fits, then 1% spandex will help them keep their shape better and be more comfortable.
>>
where else can you get basic unbranded clothing of high quality at a reasonable price, seriously i couldnt name anywhere that does
>>
>>10634053
The brand is Uniqlo
>>
>>10633461
ahahaha sounds about right
>>
>>10634034
It's not really the pants, it's me. I'm a manlet and can't wear the length that they sell all of their pants in. I know they do in-store tailoring now but there are no Uniqlos in the area I live in.
>>
>>10634065
if you don't know what i meant by unbranded then there's something wrong with you
>>
>>10634100
what do you mean by unbranded then?
>>
>>10634106
he means that they dont have any visible logos or other branding

anyone know how the water defender fits? heard it's small but I don't wanna get an XS
>>
the lemaire collab was disappointing. i liked the cuts on the shirts and pants but the material for the shirts looked a bit cheap and the pants were really itchy
>>
>>10634500
they should just keep bringing back pieces from +j

The only piece that stood out for me was the hooded coat. Copped for $99 on sale.
Fabric feels substantial. Really water resistant (comparable to any DWR treated cotton...for now). Decent hardware (YKK etc...). Hidden chest pocket and removable liner.
I wonder what happened to the beige one shown in previews.
>>
>>10635605
That looks like something i'd buy on ebay for around 30 dollars
>>
>>10634493
I got one of their other down jackets and I could've sized up desu. I wouldn't bother with them, they don't keep you very warm.
>>
>>10635625
Apparently my phone changes desu to desu. I've been here too fucking long.
>>
>>10635626
it's a filter mate
ty for the response though
>>
>>10635626
What the actual fuck is happening
>>
>>10635611
do you mean bought used on ebay for 30 dollars? If it was new it would be completely garbage
>>
Literally JapGap
>>
>>10634045
Thanks, yeah I would be after slim fits.
>>
>>10634083
same, why the fuck don't the come in lengths any shorter than 32? I don't want to have to come in the next day so they can be hemmed.
>>
>>10635626
you haven't been here long enough
>>
>>10636322
Just go to the fucking tailor lmao
>>
>>10634034
Not who you were responding to but as a tall skinny dude personally I love em. Be warned that slim fit from them is essentially a skinny fit in most other brands as far as the chinos go
>>
>>10635625
> they don't keep you very warm
do they really not work? even the new heat tec stuff?
>>
>>10637467
Dunno. I got one of the basic down jackets on sale and tried it out a couple of times in around 6 or 7degree celcius weather if I recall correctly. I was cold.
>>
>>10637491
The down jackets are probably mainly supposed to be used as liners for hardshells, will probably work on their own to some point though.
>>
Their cashmere sweaters are really good for $70
>>
Thinking about buying a sweater and maybe some long sleeve shirts. How's the sizing? I wear a medium just about everywhere else.
>>
>>10632904
RIP the good leggings pants. New skinny jeans are shit compared to the ones over the summer. Seriously the comfiest piece of clothing I have ever owned
>>
>>10638346
What's different about them? I have two in black that I bought over a year ago, I haven't checked the recent offerings.
>>

Getting a length 32" jeans and getting it altered to 30" is god-tier fucking perfect fit for me. The problem is 99% of their jean length is 34", just... what the fuck?
>>
>>10640663
just get 34 altered to 30 are you a fucking moron?
>>
80% of my wardrobe is uniqlo. They're good for basics like underwear, chinos, shorts and shirts but move up from there to anything fancier say their blazers and your looking at horsecrap.

The proportions are kinda wacked as well or maybe its just me but I find alot of their dress shirts to be too long. Shoulda figured that out before I bought 10 of them but oh well.
>>
>>10640663
It's intentional...
the inseams are long because they offer free in-store hemming
you are supposed to buy the jeans and have them fitted for you
get it?
>>
>>10640663
actually retarded
>>
>>10640663
Just have them alter it from 34" to 32" and then from 32" to 30"
>>
>>10641109
underrated
>>
>>10637491
>around 6 or 7degree celcius weather
So there totally useless.
>>
>>10641314

I think its nice desu
>>
their t shirts are good. I like uniqlo because their size small is actually, small. not american small (eg still fat people who are 7ft).
>>
>>10641348
Yeah basically. I only spent £14 on sale on one so at least I didn't waste that much
>>
>>10641579
Damn, I was just looking at this. I want it so bad but they don't ship to Canada :(
