I live in the UK though, so there's not really much selection. At the moment, the only hair oil brands I can find at the shops are Vatika and Palmer's with their Olive Oil and Coconut Oil. UK anon here, I use Vatika (olive oil, black seed, coconut,cactus and garlic- you can actually buy them all tesco where I live). I have no complaints about them quality wise and use the olive oil and garlic as a hot oil treatment. The coconut is especially good if you have fine hair.

Just apply it straight but i use a spray leave in conditioner (Aussie) so my hair us usually damp anyway. My brother has thicker hair an her puts it on after the hair wash and lets it dry. Hope that helps anon- I can provide some length an texture reference if that might help
