i need to buy new shoes, but kind of tired of wearing sneakers all the time..
need something i can wear to work but also hanging out with friends@bar on the weekend. so nothing too fancy.. also black or white only!
i've only owned one pair of dress shoes my whole life, everything else has been sneakers, so i really have no idea what is good and what's shit..

i will look for this brand in stores, prefer to buy irl and not online so i can try them on first.
if i go to some shoe stores in the mall, what should i look for that determines a nice shoe from a cheap/bad shoe? is it basically 'you get what you pay for' ?
like i say in OP, all i've ever bought my whole life is running shoes.. not really familiar with what's /fa/ and what's not..

No. Buy a black penny loafer, preferably with less shine (like the one attached). Very easy to dress down for casual wear, and easily able to dress up for semi-formal.
Yay or nay? I have a pair of brown chukkas, and two pairs of black boots. I don't know if I should go with a more brown style, or this burgundy. The burgundy is a really cool (and more original) style IMO.
