Victor doc martens.
I really like them, got them 6 months ago. It's the thai prod but they've proven themselves resistant to creasing, they're not falling apart, no sewing problems - near new condition actually, even though I wore them very often. All black, and ofc good sole. Very comfortable on top of that.

>go to order it

Are there any methods Canadian /fa/ggots know that can help me out?
>>10456918
i know that feel, being effay is hard when the things you want are either ridiculously expensive to ship or dont ship at all to you
if you live near the border you could ship it to the us and drive down
if you know anyone in the us willing to do it (or you dont mind paying extra for a site to do it) you could try proxy shipping, it could get costly tho
but honestly you could try going to a few malls; it's fall so palladiums (and a lot of other boots) are really common in most shoe and clothing stores. i bought a pair of palladiums just yesterday from kixs in calgary

nah no shoe trees, I wear them all day and haven't treated them yet with any oils or anything, I don't mind the wrinkling since it gives them character but I'm more concerned about the soles getting fucked up and having a hole in the side of the boot or something

As somebody who does a lot of returns due to sizing, only you can decide if it is worth doing an exchange. Is your life going to fall apart if you don't have these immediately? Or can you wait to try for a better pair.
>>10463330
Went to a Clarks store, asked for Mali's, they said they were web exclusive but they will order them for me. Asked for black but they could only fine Beeswax and whatever other brown colour it is, went to the back and came back later telling me they had no black left and didn't know when they were going to be restocked. Read somewhere online later that clarks is clarks is discontinuing black leather on all of their shoes or just a number of them, can't recall. Thats why you can only find them on places like Amazon, which is where I got my pair.
>>10463413
Damn I'd really like to see that.
Had these for a month or so now, they run narrow but a bit long so half a size down was right for me.
Due to the thickness of the leather on the left boot's heel area I experienced a lot of pain breaking them in, but I doubt that will be a problem for the soft leather version.
They did break in after about 2 weeks of wearing them and feel very comfy now.

Thoughts on Blundstone boots? Looking to get the best pair of Chelsea boots I can for under 200$.
>>10464414
blundstone chelseas are not sleek nor good looking. Just buy slp or jack erwin
>>10464447
Yeah I definitely appreciate the advice, but those are a bit outside my price range atm.
>>10464464
Meermin has a nice pair of chelseas that replicate slps design quite good, buy they are only MTO group order, so it's only on sale for a couple of weeks. Right now they're funding a brown chelsea, which is a bit pricier but it's good-year welted and that is quite a step up quality wise. Buxley is another good alternative with a sleek silhouette, but since i'm guessing you're in the US i can't recommend buying from there since Buxley is based in France and if you get the wrong size it's gonna be a nightmare with shipping.
Jack Erwin also has a nice pair of Chelseas that also are a bit pricier but with a lot better quality.
>>10464447
This. I like my blundstones for winter n shit, but they aren't a sleek looking boot.

Been wanting to pick up these Horween Danners after my friend accidentally caught my last pair on fire while we were camping this summer. I have Visvim Serras for the look, but I don't like to actually take em out on trails. These Danners look like they could take the abuse.
I'm not really very /fa/ and I just lurk a lot but I work as a conductor on the railroad and I started wearing Danner boots about 5 years ago.
They're expensive but when it comes to protection from snow and rain and walking for miles on ballast rocks, nothing else has come close. I like the look but I don't know if you guys would necessarily love them.
The pair I wear are called Quarry's ($260) but they've been doing a big push to do more fashionable stuff that's still very functional and warm. I've been walking for 5+ miles a day on shit surfaces for 12 hours a day and the sole is just starting to get clapped out.
Don't know if that's what you're interested on but that's my input.

I really like these Cole Haan chukkas I have. They're comfortably dressed up or dressed down.
I'd like to get something similar in a light suede. Clarks desert boots my best choice? I've heard they fall apart.
Thoughts?
>>10466549
I've had a pair of J&M's for about 4 years now and apart from some creasing they are still in fantastic shape, but I can't really comment on their newer shoes. How light of a suede are you thinking?
>>10466537
it's a rubber outsole dude; Dainite makes a sepia brown one for, well, brown shoes. I've never seen them in person since only Allen Edmonds (to my knowledge) uses them regularly
this isn't exactly related, but I'm posting it to give the general idea of how the shoe will look with a new sole. I think it'll be a good change
I was thinking about getting a pair of these. But don't know if I should get them in gray black or brown. What do you guys think?
>>10466571
Ideally something like a sand color suede or maybe a very light grey.
I did look at the Clarks desert boots and the suede I liked was the Taupe Suede, but I'm apprehensive since I've heard those shoes literally fall apart with normal use. Would pay more for quality.
>>10466537
>have mixed feelings about suede boots in a non-chukka style.
Danner does a boot like this but it's not made in USA or recraftable (fucking shame cuz it's a niiiice boot) and you can get black suede mountain lights from Danner Japan (shame they aren't sold in America)
here's the real deal though: moncler peak boots
oh and OSB makes a beautiful indigo-dyed suede 8 eyelet boot but it's extremely hard to find
>>10466584
>Dainite
fug, I was just looking at Allen edmonds recently and thought that looked familiar, must have slipped my mind. I think they'll look pretty solid with an outsole like that. Definitely more versatile.
>>10466591
If Johnston and Murphy's quality is still where it was 4 years and you like crepe soles then I'd say go with those. I'm not really familiar enough with other brands of chukkas though.
>>10466606
Damn, I may have been missing out on my boot game these past few years. Those oak streets look great. I'd love to own a pair of OSB's but i have basketball feet
>>10466584
Dainite can sometimes be slippery when wet on super smooth surfaces.
I have dainite on a pair of wingtips.

>>10458430
wingtip is gross, i'd try to find something with a similar silhouette in a plain cap toe

>>10466342
they say greasy lamper. isnt that a kind of leather? Correct me if im wrong.
>>10467356

How is the sizing on these? I'd like to order a pair.
I wear an 8 in clarks / wolverine 1000 mile / red wings / converse
9 in adidas / vans
freshly copped, any comments?
Found this model online, how does it look ?
What are the cheapest backzips?

Looks like what the kids on the short bus wear tbh.

I like them.
How's the quality on hudsons?

What.
I want a rugged, traditional looking, leather outdoor boot. Like Red Wings just without a wedge sole, and for less than $200. Timbs Earthkeepers look alright but I don't know if I like all the stitching.
