I have a personal project of drawing all of the board tans in a (relatively) lifelike human form, which includes /e/-tan.
For those familiar with her, does she have a name? Like how /ck/-tan is Be/ck/y, /co/-tan is /co/nrad, /d/-tan is /d/emona, etc.
Also, more relevant to the topic (and, to a lesser extent, the OP image), what would you guys think is the best body type for her? To kind of personify what /e/ generally likes? I know what she looks like in general, but obviously different artists draw her differently, and I was hoping to get these tans drawn in ways that please the most amount of people.
If it's not obvious I'm a lurker at best on this board.

you of course have to practice a lot, which is a lot easier if you do it every day. use reference pictures as much as you can. also try to use clean printer paper or something instead of that lined crap. you'll get better and better, even if it feels like you're always gonna be shit. save all your drawings so you can look back at them and say "wow, i was so awful at this before. at least i don't draw like THAT anymore"

i think you should try working on how you draw faces/heads first, then slowly work into drawing bodies.
her eyes look lopsided and crossed, the mouth is kinda far from the nose. the head looks like it's facing left, while the face is facing right. her hair is fine.
her thighs should be a bit bigger, maybe shorten the length of lower parts of the legs. the right breast is slightly bigger than the left, and the right arm is longer than the left. the left forearm is shorter than the upper arm when typically it's the same length. i can tell where the elbow is on both sides of her, which is great! although there's a random line on her right, which kinda makes it look like she's wearing a glove.
try working on hands, practice makes perfect on those.
where the left bra strap connects to the cup, it looks a bit smaller than the other side. (sorry if i worded this strangely, not really sure how to refer to it) the two lines that connect the lower half of the outfit should be made into one, or you can make it slightly bigger so they don't touch as much.
there's my critique, i think you can improve really quick.

So yeah, it's tough to make good stuff. I guess part of the problem sort of comes from being a spriter typically, so the scale at which I draw is just sort of different. Also doesn't help that the program I use is meant for spriting.

Basically, construction.
As a newer artist (currently my brother) you just want to put the lines down and see results. But really you need to spend the few vital minutes at the beginning of your drawing constructing the figure with simple shapes.
Knowing the length and size of body parts and how they connect together is easy to find out. Knowing that information will help immensely.

I have a question to those who are more skilled and practiced...
Does one need to invest in like a tablet/pen combo type deal to do good art? Is it possible to do good/passable art with a mouse? Right now I'm still using a mouse, but I'm wondering if maybe I need to start looking into something else.

Focus on construction. Worry about details only after you've got a solid base. Break the image down into simple shapes and build off of them. Its also a lot easier mentally: you're not drawing a whole complex face, just some ovals.
