Can I just use this on its own or do I need a bunch of resistors and shit like on the pre-prepared boards?

Im not researching it for you, but some chips need pins set low or high to swtich the different modes.
Youre also gonna want resistors on some outputs for obvious reasons.
>>
What exactly do you mean by "on its own"? Throw it in a box with a speaker in it?
>>
>>971819
I mean just wire up the appropriate inputs and outputs without needing all the little components on the circuit board .
>>
>>971824
did you just move up from an arduino?
read the datasheet.
>>
>>971827
Never even used an arduino.
So can anyone here help me or are you just going to act like a bitch because you may or may not know more than me?
>>
>>971828
I act like a bitch because the datasheet has your answers aswell as (in most cases) sample schematics (which most companies use in their own products but slightly tweaked), and I don't feel like crawling through a bunch of chink shit websites to find the schematic for this chip.

the datasheet is literally 5 pages of everything you need to know to use this thing. what the fuck does it even do? motor controller?
>>
>>971828
>>971830
I found the datasheet, the schematic is on page fucking two. you didnt even look.

I did look you fuck.

My question is what if I use it as is without the extra components, don't see that anywhere in the datasheet.

What do you think will happen?

>>971843
ikek'd
>>
>>971845
Honestly?
I think it either won't work, it'll work but with quality or life degradation, or it'll work just fine.
Not sure, which is why I'm asking here.

Yes it's a stupid question but I'm still very new to diy and I'd appreciate an honest answer. My stupidity is not through willful ignorance but a lack of knowledge.

If you use it without any supporting components the chip mostly likely won't work as intended and you may end up damaging it. There's an application circuit on the first page of the datasheet, try using that.
>>
>>971847
If that's the case I'm probably better off with >>971803
>>
>>971846
OK let's look at >>971847.

The series caps at the very left are DC blocking caps. They are almost certainly non-negotiable.

The caps on VREF, VDD, PVDD are 'optional' in the sense that the amp is going to sound really bad without them.
>>
>>971843
oh fuck i lost it
>>
>>971836
>>971843
that is the internal diagram you fucknuts. Go look again. The external diagram is like three lines above that one.
>>
>>971847
>spoonfeeding him everything
>>
Th easy answer is those extra components wouldn't' be there if they weren't needed. If you try to use the chip without the extra components it probably wont work or may even damage the chip.

wut.

lel

in anycase. use the shitty pcb you clueless plebian.
also; put some big caps close by over the power rails.

No.

Yes.

See the diagram labelled "Typical Applications Circuit" on the first page of the data sheet.

Each input channel needs a DC-blocking capacitor and a resistor to set the gain. Vdd, PVdd and Vref need decoupling capacitors.

>>971803
I suggest that you just get that board.
