Many years ago, I came across a guy working with a small, all wheel drive articulated tractor. Much smaller than pic. About the size of a 'garden tractor'. It sat pretty low to the ground and that sucker could handle prctically any terrain.
I'm thinking it was a Kubota (orange and I seem to remember the name). But I've never seen a little one like that since.
What's the smallest all wheel drive articulated tractor on the market, now or in the past? This is something I could use.

That one sits a bit high for use on rough terrain. The Ventrac and Steiner look something like what I saw.
What exactly do you plan to do with it?
I'm asking, because it might not be foolish to consider buying an ATV if you're not planning to tractor exclusive functions such as the PTO or Hydraulics.

Spent a good portion of my youth on a Kubota 5100. Roughly 3' wide, 4 wheel drive, would damn near climb right up a wall. Had a bush hog for it, a backhoe, a 25 gallon tank rear mounted sprayer that ran off the PTO... Awesome tractor really. I'm sure they're still around.

Swinger has been making these in all sizes forever. They are 4x4, articulated, but are more a replacement for a skidloader than a garden tractor.

I can't imagine the usefulness of a loader that only lifts a foot off the ground. After one scoop of snow, or whatever, you need to pile higher.
