How do I make something like this?
It's a NFC card reader that looks like one of those anti-theft gates at the mall.
It can scan multiple NFC cards a person is carrying when he passes through the gate.

No that's an RFID reader. NFC operates at very close ranges.
So obviously you need some way to energize the RFID cards, some way to receive the signal, and someway to process it.

What are you reading? NFC and RFID aren't the same thing.
